Mongolian herdsman ride red camels in snow-covered Gobi Desert to welcome the New Year

The ethnic herders, who live in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in northern China, performed the time-honoured ritual at the weekend during a folk festival in the Ulan Buh Desert, part of the Gobi.
