Eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD suffocated thousands in Pompeii in just 15 minutes

Mount Vesuvius engulfed Pompeii in a deadly cloud of volcanic ash and carbon dioxide for nearly 20 minutes, according to a new report that found thousands died withing 15 minutes of the blast.
